OneCommunity Expands Ultra-Broadband Connectivity With Global Crossing's IP-based Solutions 

• Global Crossing expands existing relationship by offering additional broadband services to OneCommunity.

• Companies will jointly offer VoIP and IP videoconferencing to OneCommunity subscribers.

Florham Park, N.J. -- Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC) announced today it has renewed and expanded its relationship with OneCommunity, an innovative and internationally recognized ultra broadband services and applications provider for a wide range of municipal and non-profit organizations in Northeastern Ohio. Under terms of a new agreement, Global Crossing is providing Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) services to OneCommunity to maximize their existing infrastructure and investment and increase value to the participants in their network. The two companies will also jointly market Global Crossing's enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and IP videoconferencing offerings, including IP Video and iVideoconferencing, to OneCommunity subscribers.

Founded in 2003, OneCommunity serves research, education, government, healthcare, culture and other nonprofit facilities via a 10-gigabit backbone with one gigabit uplinks. OneCommunity has been a Global Crossing customer for the past two years. Under the new contract, OneCommunity is purchasing a second DIA link and will likely double the volume of DIA traffic Global Crossing carries by mid-year. For the first time, the companies will also jointly market VoIP Outbound, VoIP Local and IP video and iVideoconferencing to OneCommunity subscribers.

Global Crossing Enterprise VoIP Services may be provisioned over DIA, public Internet or fully meshed IP VPN connections, providing unlimited VoIP Local Services and VoIP Outbound connection options to maximize flexibility and control expenses. Global Crossing's VoIP Local Service is a direct inward dial service that offers local origination for nationwide local numbers through a single IP point of interconnection as a cost-effective alternative to traditional toll-free applications.  

Global Crossing's award winning iVideoconferencing allows customers to place ISDN calls directly on Global Crossing's IP network and transports them directly to service nodes around the world.  This results in increased quality and ISDN cost reductions of 40 to 70 percent as compared to calls switched over traditional voice networks.  IP Video is a videoconferencing transport vehicle that uses Global Crossing's fully meshed MPLS-based global IP VPN to augment existing legacy infrastructure.
