Providing Technology Leadership for Our Schools

With the support of the George Gund Foundation and GAR Foundation, OneCommunity provides a Community Technology Executive to work exclusively with Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and Akron Public School (APS) leaders to develop, coordinate and leverage technology and their broadband networks for instructional gains and community and parent engagement.

Restructured CMSD’s IT Department to improve efficiencies, align to industry best practices and most importantly, support the District’s Transformation Plan.
Collaborated with CMSD’s IT and Academic leadership to design, develop and implement the technology, communication and change management strategies for the district’s online formative assessment initiative.
Developed an online learning framework for APS to enable the district to establish alternative forms of instruction and professional development that are research based and aligned with instructional best practices.
Continuing to develop a parent engagement strategy with CMSD and APS to leverage OneCommunity’s Connect Your Community initiative focused on providing parent training for each district’s online resources.
