OneCommunity Announces Annual Meeting Honorees
CLEVELAND, Ohio, August 28, 2014—OneCommunity, a Northeast Ohio ultra-high-speed-broadband provider, announced the honorees at its upcoming Annual Meeting, September 10 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Victory Center, 7012 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. At that time, Special Council to the Chairman of the FCC for External Affairs, Gigi Sohn, will receive the OneCommunity’s Broadband Hero Award and deliver the keynote address.
Dr. Jeanette Grasselli Brown, OneCommunity Board Member and former Director of Corporate Research for BP America will receive OneCommunity’s Lifetime Ambassador’s Award for her personal contribution to the progress the OneCommunity has made over the past decade.
The OneCommunity Broadband Civic Innovation Award will be presented to The City of Cleveland in recognition of it being a prime example of a city or organization demonstrating the creative and transformational power of broadband
The Collection Auto Group will receive the One Community Broadband Enterprise Innovation Award for its visionary use of the broadband experience to engage and enhance its communication with its customers, employees and partners.
Ohio Telecom, a prime example of how OneCommunity’s 2,500 mile network may be used by other carriers to provide services to healthcare, government and commercial end-users; will be honored with the OneCommunity Broadband Partnership Award. The award is presented to a leader that understands and enhances the use of broadband within Northeast Ohio.
