Mr. Stovsky is Chair of Benesch’s Innovations, Information Technology & Intellectual Property (3iP) Practice Group and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He has been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America® in Information Technology Law for seven consecutive years and is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review.
Mr. Stovsky has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of intellectual property, technology, corporate and securities law matters. He focuses his practice in the cutting-edge areas of technology transactions, licensing and transfer, intellectual property protection, global data security and privacy, data breach disclosure, document retention and destruction compliance, Internet and eCommerce for both established and emerging businesses.
Mr. Stovsky’s experience in corporate and securities law includes private equity transactions, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of businesses; financing structures; and federal and state securities compliance.
In addition, Mr. Stovsky is an active member of the community. He serves on the boards of Providence House (the nation’s oldest crisis nursery, committed to child abuse prevention and family preservation) and the Cleveland Music School Settlement (a community school that offers instruction and performance opportunities, early childhood education and music therapy). He is also serves on the Social Justice Advisory Council of the Temple Tifereth Israel; spends time tutoring Cleveland City High School students as part of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association 3R’s Program (Cleveland City High School Tutor); and coaches youth baseball and soccer.
