Lance Frew was appointed President of MCPc, Inc., in January 2006. MCPc is a leading supplier and integrator of technology products and solutions. Privately held, MCPc reduces the complexity associated with technology selection, purchasing and deployment to help businesses maximize their IT investments. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, MCPc operates from over 20 locations across the United States and represents over 300,000 products with annual revenue exceeding $194 million.
Frew began his career with MCPc in December 2002 where he served as Chief Financial Officer. After MCPc was spun-off from a public company, he helped establish a strong capital structure, led the organization through the establishment of numerous departments and achieved profitability. In 2006, Frew left MCPc and served as partner at globalX where he was responsible for constructing financial and tax strategies for large corporations and non-profit organizations. globalX is a strategic tax and financial consulting firm located in Northeast Ohio specializing in esoteric tax strategies. Their ability to drive value out of latent tax assets has enabled large real estate development projects such as Book Cadillac Building in Detroit, Michigan. Frew served on the Board of Directors throughout this time and returned to MCPc in 2006 in his current position as President.
From 1999-2002, Frew held a career in investment banking working both independently and as a member of Laux Homes, a boutique investment banking firm that advised clients in recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions. His independent investment banking work was focused on assisting clients in handling financial turnarounds and capital restructurings for numerous firms across Ohio and Pennsylvania. From 1991 to 1998, Frew served in multiple capacities at Austin Powder. Some of his responsibilities were in treasury management, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and credit management. Austin Powder is an international company that manufactures, distributes and detonates industrial explosives.
Frew attained his Bachelors of Science Degree in 1987 from Case Western Reserve University. He received an MBA in 1991 from the Weatherhead School of Management.
